Yes I did it!!! Did what you might wonder? I passed the VCAP DCV Deploy exam! After passing the VCP-DCV exam in the beginning of 2018. I decided to try my luck with CMA as I’m really impressed with automation. Even though this meant I wouldn’t specialize solely on DCV, automation intrigued me enough to go for CMA. Combining study with work it took me about 9 months to feel comfortable enough to try the VCP-CMA exam. When I started with CMA I had no experience with CMA. Youtube and VMware’s On Demand trainings helped me pass the CMA exam. Once I passed the CMA exam I refocused on DCV, and VCAP DCV became my next target. 2019 was a bit rocky and I couldn’t find enough time to prepare myself for VCAP. But all that changed when I switched jobs. And as a new ITQ employee I had plenty of time to prepare myself. Plus with the help of highly experienced colleagues preparing myself become all that easier. Being amazed at there level of knowledge was my motivator to keep focused on my goal, VCAP DCV 2019!
So just before 2019 came to his end, I tried the exam. And after waiting almost 3 weeks, last night the email came that took away the little bit of tension I had. For a brief moment my heartbeat went up as my eyes were searching for the word “CONGRATULATIONS”… instead they found “PASS”
I’ll write a blogpost covering my learning path towards passing the VCAP exam.
